If you do, you risk dragging partially dry resin into wet, which will dry cloudy over dark colours. The last one I used was by Liquitex. The paintings on panel were wrapped in 4 ply plastic, two layers of 1/4 inch pink insulation foam, fitting perfectly in a wood crate.
