Registered TwitPrune

I just registered the TwitPrune.com domain, based on a suggestion from Rands on Twitter - “TwitPrune: Info on followers which helps me prune folks such as who hasn’t updated in forever.” Should be a nice little project to play with some weekend.

Want a free MacBook Air?

Update: More on Wubud from TechCrunch (here).

Irish entrepreneur Paul Walsh is giving away a MacBook Air in order to promote his new venture wubud. So what do you have to do to win? Well very little, you don’t have to sell your soul or link to his homepage from a site with a high page rank …… all you need to do is follow the user wubud on Twitter. Once wubud reaches 5000 followers, Paul will draw and see who wins the MacBook Air - so it’s pretty easy to get a 1 in 5,000 chance of winning such a kick ass piece of kit. AND …… to entice you even further, if you leave a comment here with your Twitter username before following wubud and direct message wubud telling him how you found out about the competition and then go on to win the MacBook Air, I’ll throw in a free copy of TextMate so you can use one of the Ruby community’s favourite text editors to get coding straight away.

EURUKO 2008 Attendees - LinkedIn Group

If you’re anything like me and were at EuRuKo 2008 in Prague, then I’m sure you met a ton of great people from all over Europe. Only thing is I can’t remember half of the names and blogs that I wanted to. I do remember one person asking me was I on LinkedIn though - I am - so I though that might be a good way of keeping in touch with fellow rubyists who were there this weekend. So I have created a new LinkedIn Group for people who attended EURUKO 2008. Just log in to your LinkedIn account and click on the link to join the group. It may take a while to approve all the requests but I’ll try to check in one a day for the next few weeks.
